Los molibdatos �Á-Bi2MoO6 y �¿-Bi2Mo3O12 fueron sintetizados mediante la tecnica de coprecipitacion. Ambos oxidos fueron evaluados como fotocatalizadores en la degradacion del colorante rodamina B. El oxido �Á-Bi2MoO6 mostro la mayor actividad fotocatalitica con un 86 % de mineralizacion del contaminante despues de 100h de irradiacion con luz visible. Con el objetivo de acercarse a una aplicacion tecnologica, fueron desarrolladas peliculas delgadas de �Á-Bi2MoO6 mediante un proceso secuencial de evaporacion/descomposicion en un Sistema de Evaporacion Termica (TES). La pelicula formada de 200 nm de espesor del oxido �Á-Bi2MoO6 mostro actividad fotocatalitica para la degradacion de rodamina B bajo radiacion de luz visible.
The molybdates ã-Bi2MoO6 and á-Bi2Mo3O12 were synthesized by coprecipitation technique. Both oxides were tested as photocatalysts in the degradation of the rhodamine B dye. The ã-Bi2MoO6 oxide showed the highest photocatalytic activity with a mineralization of 86 % of the dye after 100h of irradiation with visible light. In order to approach a technological application, thin films of ã-Bi2MoO6 were developed by a decomposition/evaporation sequential process in a Thermal Evaporation System (TES). The film thickness of 200 nm of the ã-Bi2MoO6 oxide showed photocatalytic activity for degradation of rhodamine B under visible light radiation.
