    Lucette Finas essaye tout particulièrement de mettre la figure de Lazare en relief parce que, même si cela peut paraître curieux, cette femme joue un rôle central dans l'intrigue et dans le fonctionnement du Bleu du ciel. B., le narrateur, a beau la maudire, il ne cesse de se référer à elle.
