Resumen de Turismo y patrimonio ferroviario: Un estudio sobre el Trem da Vale (MG) � Brasil

  El presente trabajo presenta un análisis sobre la importancia del patrimonio industrial ferroviario para el turismo y utiliza al Trem da Vale como estudio de caso. Al recuperar este patrimonio se tomaron en cuenta elementos culturales y recreativos nuevos, destinados a la comunidad y a los turistas y/o visitantes. Se buscó analizar la ejecución del plan de puesta en valor e interpretación del patrimonio y se evaluó la satisfacción y la apropiación por parte del turista y el visitante en relación a la recuperación realizada. La metodología adoptada para esta investigación fue la aplicación de una encuesta entre los visitantes de las estaciones de Ouro Preto y Mariana (Brasil).

  Los datos fueron analizados a través del método de tabulación. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que los turistas y visitantes apoyaron la recuperación del patrimonio industrial ferroviario para uso turístico. Asimismo, la interpretación del patrimonio agregó valor al sitio turístico.

  Tourism and Railroad Heritage. A Case Study of Valley Railroad (Trem da Vale) of Ouro Preto and Mariana, State of Mina Gerais, Brazil. This paper presents an analysis of the importance for tourism of the industrial railroad heritage based on the case study of the Trem da Vale. In the requalification of this heritage, new cultural equipment and material for leisure have been created the railroad area meant for both the local community and visitors. The aim of the study was to understand the practices adopted for the enhancement and interpretation of this heritage. The perception and appropriation by the tourists and/or visitors related to the recovery of this heritage has also been considered in the questionnaires completed by the visitors of Ouro Preto and Mariana railroad stations. The data made available suggest that the tourists and/or visitors have given support to the recovery of the railroad heritage for tourist purposes. Other findings are that heritage interpretation adds value to the site and tourist satisfaction.
