    Desde el análisis de las condiciones socio-económicas y políticas de finales del siglo XVI, el artículo expone el pensamiento político de Pedro de Ribadeneyra y lo proyecta sobre el tratamiento constitucional que, desde 1812 hasta 1978, ha tenido la libertad de conciencia en España.

    This article deals with the study of the social-economical and political conditions since the end of the XVI century, taking into account the political thinking of Pedro de Ribadeneyra and his constitutional treatment that, since 1812 until 1978, has developed freedom on thought in Spain.
