    The effectiveness of the Cognitive Interview to improve very young children� testimonies of a repeated event was assessed. Sixty-four children, ages 4-5, participated in a painting session either once or four times. Two days later, they were interviewed about the last session (i.e., the sole session for those who lived the event once) with either a cognitive interview or a structured interview. All the interviews ended in a set of eighteen questions, which could be neutral, leading or misleading. The results highlight a benefit of the Cognitive Interview to gather more accurate information without increasing joint errors and confabulations. This benefit is particularly observed on a repeated event, particularly for the report of fixed details. Finally, the Cognitive Interview led children who lived the event four times to be more resistant to misleading questions, but also to leading ones. These results are discussed in terms of their theoretical and practical implications.

    L'efficacité de l'Entretien Cognitif pour améliorer le recueil des témoignages de très jeunes enfants concernant un Événement répété a été évaluée. Soixante-quatre enfants âgés de 4 à 5 ans participaient à un atelier de peinture cela, soit à une seule reprise, soit à quatre reprises. Deux jours plus tard, les enfants étaient entendus à l'aide d'un entretien structuré ou d'un entretien cognitif. Les résultats mettent en évidence un bénéfice de l'Entretien Cognitif pour recueillir plus d'informations correctes, sans augmentation conjointe des erreurs et des affabulations. Ce bénéfice est particulièrement observé au sujet d'un Événement répété, notamment en ce qui concerne les détails fixes. Ces résultats sont discutés au niveau de leurs implications théoriques et pratiques.
