Resumen de Simple apparatus for the measurement of mechanical properties of solids

• This paper describes a simple apparatus we have developed for determining elastic properties of materials. The easily constructed system may be used to measure the elongation or compression of a sample to which a succession of loads is applied. This allows stressstrain curves to be plotted and analyzed. We describe the construction and use of the apparatus and present some sample data.
