Resumen de Una nueva visión de la novela prima de Alejo Carpentier: Estudio del espacio literario

  �¡Écue-Yamba-Ó!� es la novela que Alejo Carpentier nunca amó. Se pretende establecer, muy en contra de su opinión y a la luz del análisis narratológico del espacio literario, que esta obra marca el impacto de la Vanguardia artística en su creador, quien constantemente rechaza la valía de esta su ópera prima porque, según su criterio, no posee las conquistas narrativas de su obra posterior. A través del análisis sistémico estructural de algunos de los subsistemas narrativos, en este caso narrador, personaje y espacio, se demuestra que esta sí es una obra de valor sobre todo porque tiene la virtud de recorrer la historia de la tercera década del siglo XX cubano.

  ¡Écue- Yamba- Ó! is a novel that Alejo Carpentier never liked. We intend to establish that, contrary to his opinion and in the light of narrative analysis of the literary space, the novel marks the impact on the artistic vanguard in the work of this author who continually refused to recognise the value of this superb text because, according to his opinion, it does not possess the narrative conquests of his later writing. Through the systematic, structural analysis of the narrative substructure it can be demonstrated that this is a work of merit, particularly as it has the virtue of exploring the history of the third decade of the twentieth century in Cuba.
