Este trabajo estudia el uso del conector discursivo pero en un texto escrito por estudiantes de español como lengua extranjera. De acuerdo a los resultados cuantitativos predomina la función de negación, asimismo, se aprecia una subutilización de otros marcadores.
Frente a esto se sugiere una breve propuesta de intervención.

This paper studies the use of the Spanish conjunction pero in a text written by students of Spanish as a foreign language. According to the quantitative results, the function of denial prevails and an underutilization of other markers is noticeable, and therefore a brief intervention proposal is suggested.
