Research challenges in search for business strategy ontology

    • We aim towards an ontology-based approach for the management of business strategy applying technologies and standards of Semantic Web. We employed a conceptualanalytical research in order to study an intersection between the research areas of strategic management and Semantic Web. To the best of our knowledge, this paper presents the very first attempt to reveal challenges of the business strategy ontology engineering and provides new insights into the business strategy research from the Semantic Web perspective. We illustrate the complexity of applying Semantic Web standards for the business strategy ontology engineering. Our findings are challenging research and development targets and envisioned solutions. Analyzed challenges and envisioned solutions imply and organize further directions of research on this topic e.g. the prototyping of an ontology-based, collaborative and distributed platform of business strategy management.
