Tratamiento quirúrgico de la entesopatía cuadricipital distal

    Objetivo: Se describe el tratamiento quirúrgico realizado en un caso de entesopatía cuadricipital distal.

    Caso clínico: Varón de 31 años que presenta una entesopatía cuadricipital distal resistente al tratamiento conservador, por ello se propone tratamiento quirúrgico.

    Discusión: La entesopatía cuadricipital distal responde generalmente al tratamiento conservador y solo ocasionalmente requiere un tratamiento quirúrgico, pero ningún autor describe la técnica quirúrgica.

    Conclusión: De forma similar a lo que haríamos en una entesopatía rotuliana distal persistente se realizan tenotomías longitudinales de la inserción distal del tendón cuadricipital y perforaciones del polo superior de la rótula. A los 9 meses de la cirugía el paciente no presenta dolor y ha vuelto a practicar deporte

    Objective:The surgical treatment made in a case of distal quadricipital enthesopathy is described.

    Case report: Man 31 years old who presents a distal quadricipital enthesopathy resistent to conservative treatment, for that reason is proposed a surgical treatment.

    Discussion: The distal quadricipital enthesopathy responds usually to the conservative treatment and it requires only rarely a surgical treatment, but the authors doesn't describe the surgical technique.

    Conclusion: Of similar form to which we would do in a persistent distal patellar enthesopathy we made longitudinal tenotomies of the distal insertion of the quadricipital tendon and perforations of the upper pole of the patella. To the 9 months of the surgery the patient does not present pain and has returned to practice sport
