An archaeological survey of Saudi Arabia has been recently undertaken by the Department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Education. Sites of all periods were discovered mostly along the edges of the great deserts such as the Nafud in the North and the ar-Rub al Khali in the Southeast. Only a brief account of the finds is presented in this paper.
