Resumen de El docente investigador como creador de conocimiento

  En la universidad es necesario abogar por un alto desempeño del docente investigador, fortaleciendo espacios para la refl exión que conduzcan a su formación investigativa, en procura de una educación de calidad. Es él quien puede establecer el matiz de interacción armónica entre las ciencias, las disciplinas, la tecnología y la productividad con el contexto sociocultural, desde un enfoque integrador del pensamiento ético y la educación en el cual los valores constituyan mediaciones conscientes de las relaciones de mujeres y hombres con su contexto. Formar y enseñar como función del docente en la universidad, requiere de un discurso pedagógico como dispositivo que genere la construcción de conocimiento y, ante todo, la formación de personas, ciudadanos y profesionales, proporcionándoles herramientas necesarias para conocer, interpretar y comprender la compleja realidad de sí mismos, de la región, el país y el mundo. De esa manera se podría lograr que intervenga y se comprometa de manera refl exiva y crítica en el proceso de transformación histórica y social, que lleva al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los hombres y mujeres en su entorno.

  Currently, universities are advocating for high-qualifi ed lecturers in the fi eld of research. Permitting the creation of spaces for refl ection will open the door towards the vision of a pedagogy that is based on research as a way to achieve quality education.

  It is the researching lecturer�s responsibility to create the context for harmonious interaction of sciences, disciplines, technology and productivity with the cultural and social context from an approach that is based on the integration of ethic thinking and education. In this context, values must take the position of conscious mediations of the relations of human beings with their context. Educating and teaching as parts of the educator�s function within the university environment require pedagogical discourse as an instrument to generate the construction of knowledge, and, above all, the education of persons, citizens and professionals by giving them the tools necessary to know, interpret and understand the complex global, national, regional, and their own reality. Such commitment will be the cornerstone in the transformation process that will lead to the improvement of the quality of life of the people in their surroundings.
