  The Donatist controversy permitted the preservation of official documents that otherwise would have been lost. This article offers a new translation preceded by a historical commentary of one of these documents: the Acta Munatii Felicis, the minutes of the search and seizure of the property of the church of Cirta in North Africa in fulfillment of the first edict of the Diocletian.s persecution. Besides the light it throws on the Great Persecution, the document also offers a valuable insight on the situation of the Christian congregations on the eve of the peace of Constantine.

  A controvérsia donatista permitiu a preservação de documentos oficiais que de outro modo teriam sido perdidos. Este artigo apresenta uma nova tradução precedida de um comentário histórico de um desses documentos: os Acta Munatii Felicis, autos da busca e do confisco dos bens da Igreja de Cirta, no Norte da África, em cumprimento ao primeiro edito da perseguição de Diocleciano. Documento capital sobre a Grande Perseguição, ele é também um testemunho precioso sobre a situação de uma comunidade cristã às vésperas da paz de Constantino.
