Muchos niños adoptados vivieron importantes carencias y situaciones traumáticas durante su primera infancia; tras la adopción presentan una evolución incierta influida no sólo por las propias vivencias en esa primera etapa, sino también por las condiciones que le envuelven y en las que crece después de la adopción.
La experiencia en postadopción muestra el beneficio de algunos abordajes terapéuticos.

Many adopted children lived important deficiencies and traumatic situations during their first childhood;
after the adoption they present an uncertain evolution influenced not only by the own experiences in that first stage, but also by the conditions that surround to them and in that they grow after the adoption. The experience in postadoption shows the benefit of some therapeutic approaches.
