Resumen de La Educación que Viene: Miradas desde la Posmodernidad

El texto es un breve e interesante ensayo que enfoca el tema de la educación desde la óptica postmodernista.
Parte por privilegiar el conflictivo panorama para rehusar el presente en circunstancias en que los paradigmas teóricos epistemológicos han caído derrotados por la avalancha de acontecimientos que los superó. La consecuencia ha sido el �vacío epistemológico� o, lo que es lo mismo, la carencia de categorías confiables y aceptables para dar cuenta del universo en que vivimos. Hasta ahora el problema se ha resuelto con la lírica de la cientificidad que deja las cosas peor de lo que estaban, pues el discurso científico es el que está en entredicho.
El ámbito de la educación no escapa a la impronta de los tiempos. La idea de una educación que contribuya al �progreso� resulta inviable porque éste es uno de los mitos cuestionados. Se trata en definitiva de un cambio de época que genera expectativas, pero muchas más incertezas.

This is a brief but interesting essay focussing on education from a postmodernist viewpoint.
It begins with an overview of the conflictive situation to make renewed use of the present and circumstances in which the theoretical epistemological paradigms have given way beneath the avalanche of events that have overcome them. The result has been the �epistemological vacuum�, in other words, the lack of reliable and acceptable categories to account for the universe in which we live. Up till now the problem has been resolved by scientific lyricism, which leaves things worse than they were, since it is scientific discourse that is in question.
The yardstick of education cannot escape the effect of the times. The idea of an education that contributes to �progress� is no longer viable, because this is precisely one of the myths in question. There is no doubt that this is a period of change that is raising hopes, but these are outnumbered by uncertainties.
