    Se recogen unas referencias sobre Freud existentes en la bibliografía médica española de finales del siglo XIX. Referencias que versan sobre el joven Freud de la cocaína, sobre el neurólogo de prometedora carrera, y el incipiente psicoanalista, así como una de sus primeras polémicas con la psiquiatría clínico-descriptiva. Descubrimos de este modo a un Freud bastante más conocido por los profesionales españoles de lo que habitualmente se pensaba. Pueden servir también, como base y precedentes para el estudio de la repercusión posterior del pensamiento psicoanalítico en la cultura médica española del primer tercio del siglo XX

    This paper presents a collection of references about Freud in the Spanish medic bibliography at the end of the 19th century. These references noted Freud as the young boy on the cocaine, the neurologist whit a prominent career, incipient psychoanalyst and the reference of one of his primitive controversies with the clinic-descriptive psychiatry as well. Thus, all these references show the professionals in Spain knew more about Freud than we usually think. This knowledge could be useful for the research of the later repercussion of the psychoanalytic ideas on the medical culture of Spain in the first third part of the 20 th century.
