  Resumen La artrogriposis múltiple congénita es una enfermedad caracterizada por contracciones de múltiples articulaciones presentes en el nacimiento y cuyo rango articular es difícilmente recuperable, dejando secuelas importantes. Nuestro objetivo es indagar sobre los conflictos y sentimientos que se presentan en las madres con hijos que presentan esta enfermedad y sus posibles expectativas sobre el futuro de sus hijos. Hemos optado por realizar una entrevista en profundidad a la madre de uno de los niños con artrogriposis múltiple congénita a los que trato, utilizando como ayuda una grabadora y una guía de preguntas abiertas previamente elaboradas. A continuación hemos realizado un análisis cualitativo de las categorías y una interpretación y revisión de los datos. El resultado del relato es la predominancia del sentimiento de superación del problema de su hijo, seguido por la preocupación y miedos futuros sufridos por la madre, sus experiencias en el embarazo y el proceso de comunicación de la enfermedad de su hijo.

  Abstract (Arthrogryposis. Mother expectations & experiences) The arthrogryposis multiplex congenital is an illness characterized by contractions of multiple present joints in the birth and whose status articulating is hardly recoverable, leaving important aftermaths. Our target is to investigate on the conflicts and feelings that appear in these mothers and his possible expectations on the future of the illness of his children. We have chosen to realize an interview in depth to the mother of one of the children with AMC whom I treat, using as a help a tape recorder and a questions handlebar opened previously elaborated. Next we have realized a morphologic analysis of the categories and an interpretation and a review of the information. The result of the history is the predominance of the feeling of overcoming of the problem of his son, worse by the worry and future fears suffered by the mother, his experiences in the pregnancy and communication process of the illness of his son.
