Resumen de Convergencias tecnológicas en la era de la integración hombre-máquina

El desarrollo tecnológico de los últimos 40 años ha motivado proyecciones imaginarias, antes técnicamente imposibles, acerca de un cambio en la condición ontológica de la humanidad. Los límites que separaron desde siempre al hombre de sus productos técnicos se vuelven difusos en una sociedad atravesada por el uso cotidiano de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación. El imaginario tecnocientífico insiste en la idea de que los seres artificiales de nuestro tiempo se ubican en un punto de existencia cualitativamente nuevo y tecnológicamente singular, marcado por el surgimiento de criaturas híbridas, a mitad de camino entre biología natural y tecnología cultural. Sus resultados, figuras mitológicas entre lo vivo y lo inerte, resuenan constantemente a lo largo del entramado social contemporáneo: el ciborg, el poshumano, el robot y el androide. Ciertas o no, las parábolas de nuestra era dejan su impronta sobre el espíritu de época, un período mítico poblado de miedos y fantasías acerca de un futuro manifiestamente no humano.

During the last 40 years, technological development has motivated imaginary outreaches, technically impossible in the past, about a change in the onthological condition of mankind. The limits that always separated men from their technical products become blurry in a society interwoved by the every day use of Information and Communication Technologies. The technoscientific imaginary insists on the idea that artificial beings of our time are placed in a technologically new point of existence marked by the arrival of the hybrid creatures, halfway from natural biology and cultural technology. Its outcomes, mithological figures between the alive and the lifeless, resound constantly throughout the social and contemporary social framework: the ciborg, the posthuman, the robot, and the android. Certain or not, the paraboles of our era leave their imprint on the spirit of our times, a mythical period filled with fears and fantasies about a manifested non-human future.
