Contra de la interpretación habitual del más feo de los hombres, este artículo intenta mostrar la diferencia que existe entre esta figura y el resto de los hombres superiores en Also sprach Zarathustra. El más feo de los hombres recorre un camino que va desde la cólera a la risa, el cual constituye el tránsito del asesinato por venganza al asesinato por la convicción genuina del peligro de una fe más estrecha.
La fiesta del asno se transforma en el momento en el que el más feo, a partir de una actitud burlona, comete el segundo asesinato de Dios. La risa deviene una labor genealógica que logra desacralizar el ritual y lo convierte en una lúdica parodia capaz de terminar con cualquier fundamento último. El más feo, a diferencia de los otros hombres superiores, logra liberar su espíritu y allanar el terreno para el Übermensch.

In opposition to the usual interpretation of the Ugliest Man, this paper attempts to show the difference between this figure and the rest of the Higher Men in Also sprach Zarathustra. The Ugliest Man runs the way from wrath to laughter which constitutes the transit from murder for revenge to murder for the genuine conviction of the danger of a narrower faith. The Ass-Festival becomes the time when the Ugliest Man, with a mocking attitude, murders God for the second time. The laughter turns into a genealogical work that succeeds in demystifying the ritual and turning it into a playful parody capable of putting an end to any ultimate foundation. The Ugliest Man, unlike the other Higher Men, manages to free his spirit and to pave the way for the Übermensch.
