La decisión de retiro en una universidad pública

    Se ha efectuado esta investigación con el personal que labora en la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, para indagar los factores que influyen en su decisión de retiro. Los hallazgos son: el factor más importante es su sistema jubilatorio, siendo también importantes su estado de salud, su situación económica y el ambiente laboral. La institución deberá implementar medidas pertinentes para incentivar la permanencia del personal, ya que esto representa un alivio a la carga financiera que significa pagar salarios de retiro a un número creciente de jubilados, quienes además viven ahora un número mayor de años.

    This work has been done with workers of Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi, to find out the factors that influence their retirement decisions. The findings are: the most important factor is their retirement system, being important too their health status, their economical situation and the labor climate. The institution must implement adequate measures to motivate the personnel to stay at work, since this is a relief for the financial threat that represents the retirement payment of an increasing number of retirees, who live a greater number of years now.
