Resumen de Questioning Parliamentary Questions

Olivier Rozenberg, Shane Martin

  • The conclusion highlights the heuristic potential of Parliamentary Questions (PQs) and suggests that they should form an important unit of analysis for scholars of legislative studies. PQs offer an original and comparative basis for measuring both legislators' individual behaviour and legislatures' role within the political system. A comparison between oral and written questions indicates that both the institutional designs for asking questions and the frequency of the use of the procedures are non-random and consequential.
