The article examines the studies that Oliva Blanchette published about Maurice Blondel (1861-1949). Blanchette reflects on the role that Blondel has had during the years of the so-called "modernist crisis" between 1902 and 1907. With the publication of the Encyclical entitled Pascendi by Pope Pius X, Loisy’s publications where condemned and numerous discussions were held in which Blondel participated. At the conclusion of this article, some reflections have been presented on the validity of the thought of Blondel, one hundred and fifty years after his birth, when so-called "postmodernism" seems to have completely refuted the modern principle of immanence.
