    El Programa Nacional de Bilingüismo del Ministerio de Educación Nacional espera que los colombianos hayan alcanzado un alto nivel de dominio del idioma inglés hacia el año 2019. Por lo anterior, la Secretaría de Educación de Neiva en convenio con el grupo de investigación COMUNIQUÉMONOS, promovió la autoevaluación del currículo de inglés de tres instituciones educativas públicas de la ciudad con el fin de determinar sus condiciones actuales de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Las instituciones cubren una población estudiantil de 7.041 estudiantes provenientes de los estratos socioeconómicos 0, 1 y 2, con sedes urbanas y rurales.

    The National Bilingual Program from the Colombian Minister of Education expects that Colombians have reached a high level of English by the year 2019. Because of that, la Secretaría de Educación de Neiva in agreement with the research group COMUNIQUEMONOS promoted the self-evaluation of the inglish curriculum in three state schools in Neiva order to identify their present conditions of teaching and learning.

    The three schools cover a population of 7.041 students coming from 0, 1,2 socioeconomical strata, including urban and rural schools.

    The self-evaluation of the curriculum was carried out in four stages, according to the CIPP model (context, intake, process and product) for curricular evaluation. In each stage, the schools gathered the information through varied instruments like interviews, observations, analisis de huella and questionnaires, which allowed to have a real diagnosis of the curricula.
