    A regulação social na indústria do petróleo é mister para o fomento do bem estar social e do desenvolvimento econômico do país, tendo como principal órgão regulador, fiscalizador e responsável pela indústria do petróleo, a Agência Nacional do Petróleo. Se aplicada à regulação social de forma eficaz iremos combater as externalidades negativas causadas à sociedade pela indústria petrolífera. Resta-nos a esperança que a riqueza adquirida da exploração do petróleo e seus derivados, venha proporcionar um mundo igualitário, respeitando a Constituição de 1988, onde preza pelo Estado Social.

    The social regulation of petroleum industry is most important for the funding of the social welfare and the country�s sustainable development. The ANP will regulate, supervise and will be responsible for the petroleum industry. If the social regulation will be applied effectively, it will combat the negative externalities caused by the oil industry to society. The wealth gained from oil exploration will provide an egalitarian world, respecting the Constitution of 1988.
