El presente trabajo examina el problema de los cambios conceptuales proponiendo una teoría integradora que contemple los diferentes aspectos del mismo. Como resultado de este análisis se sugiere reforzar la importancia de las �creencias� y sobre todo de las emociones a la hora de dotar de significado así como en la valoración de los conceptos.
Para ilustrar esta teoría, lo largo del trabajo se ofrece diferentes ejemplos referidos a los inicios del liberalismo español.

This paper examines the problem of conceptual change by proposing a unifying theory capable of including the different aspects involved in such changes. The main conclusion of this analysis is the need to stress the importance of �beliefs�, and especially of emotions, in the attribution and evaluation of the meaning of concepts. Various examples referring to the origins of Spanish Liberalism are offered to illustrate the suggested theory.
