From the North African Saharan margins, the Moorish business diasporas are extending out global networks that weave their delicate webs through the vast international peripheral spaces, contrary to the formal frameworks of trade, that lean towards tribal social structures. The former are now investing in an intersection of international trade where they have gained economic weight and a vector of social and political influence, whose effects are frequently felt in both the host country and the country of origin, coupled with the international political arena.
