Resumen de L'enclavement, une contrainte nationale devenue une opportunité mondiale?: le cas du Haut Atlas central marocain

À travers l’exemple de Zaouïat Ahansal, nous voulons montrer la relation complexe entre enclavement et mondialisation. La marginalisation de cette vallée du Haut Atlas au sein du royaume du Maroc par l’administration coloniale, du fait de sa longue résistance, s’est accompagnée de sa mise en résonance à l’échelle mondiale comme un lieu autre : une hétérotopie. L’enclavement serait alors un élément attractif pour des activités spécifiques que sont la recherche universitaire en sciences sociales, les sports de nature et le tourisme solidaire. De ce fait, la population accèderait à une forme spécifique de mondialisation sans qu’il y ait une intermédiation de l’État. Cette relation particulière entre des visiteurs occidentaux et des habitants exclus du développement national aboutirait à un projet de développement local durable alternatif. Cependant, ce branchement à la mondialisation se révèle inégal laissant apparaître de nouvelles lignes de fractures au sein de la société locale.

By using the example of Zaouiat Ahansal, we want to show the complex relationship between confinement and globalization. The marginalization by colonial administration due to a long resistance of this valley in the High Atlas, at the heart of the Kingdom of Morocco, was accompanied by its resonance around the world as ‘’a different area’’: a heterotopia. Thus, confinement would be an attractive feature for specific activities such as academic research in social sciences, outdoor sports and activities and socially responsible tourism. As a result, the population would have access to a specific form of globalization without there being any intermediation from the state. This particular relationship between western visitors and the inhabitants, excluded from national development, would lead to an alternative local and sustainable development project. However, this connection to globalization demonstrates an inequality, exposing new fault lines within the local society.
