  Una de las mayores desventajas que presentan las formulaciones de PVC plastificado con ftalatos es su alta tendencia a la migración. Esto resulta problemático porque el materisl pierde con el tiempo sus propiedades de flexibilidad y además, el plastificante migrado contamina el medio que rodea el artículo. Los investigadores han desarrollado diferentes estrategias para encontrar soluciones para estos problemas.

  One of the major drawbacks of PVC formulations containing phtalate plasticizers is their strong tendency to migrate. This is problematic fot two reason: the material loses its flexibility with time and the migrated plasticizer contaminates the surrounding materials. In this article different strategies are presented the scientist have developed in order to avercome these problems.
