    Eraikuntzan erabiliko teknologia, ez dago diziplina horri bakarrik atxikia, eraikuntzak ez du teknologia horren erabilga-rritasun bakarra. Are gehiago, eraikuntzan aplikatzen den teknologia, lehenado beste arte edo ofizio batzuetan aplikatu izan da, hala nola musikagintzan, altzarigintzan edo armagintzan, besteak beste. Gaine-rako jarduera horien iturritik harreman ugari izan du, eta teknologia bera, diziplina artekoa eta oso erabilgarria izan dela esan daiteke.

    The technology used in building today is not exclusive to the construction industry. The techniques used served other crafts in the past, such as cabinet making and the manufacture of items as diverse as weapons and musical instruments. Construction technology has been significantly influenced by these sources; therefore the techniques themselves are interdisciplinary.
