  • This article summarizes the current literature linking cancer with aging. Discussion includes the potential mechanisms of development of cancer in the elderly, challenges in decision making, and the role of a geriatric assessment in formulating management options. This information will be of value to geriatricians, internists, and oncologists who manage elderly cancer patients.
