Resumen de Apuntes para la historia de la Real Fundición de Cañones de Barcelona (1775-1800)

La Real Fundición de artillería de Barcelona fue, junto con su homóloga de Sevilla, la industria que abasteció de cañones y morteros de bronce a los ejércitos españoles y a la Marina durante el siglo XVIII. En este artículo comentaremos algunos aspectos del funcionamiento administrativo, técnico y económico de la fundición barcelonesa durante el Setecientos, especialmente en la segunda mitad del mismo ya para ese intervalo de tiempo disponemos de cifras de su actividad económica y, por tanto, podemos cuantificar parcialmente su producción y sus finanzas.

The Royal Artillery Foundry in Barcelona was, together with its equivalent in Sevilla, the industry which provided the Spanish Army and Navy with bronze guns and morters during the 18th century.
In this article we will comment on several aspects of the administrative, technical and economical functioning of the foundry in Barcelona, especially during the second half of the 18th century since- for that exact period of time- we can make use of numbers involving its economic activity and, therefore, we can partially quantify its production and its finances.
