    La presente revisión teórica tiene el propósito de realizar un análisis comparativo entre las redes empresariales y las Redes de Innovación Productiva venezolanas. Para ello se examinan aspectos que caracterizan las redes empresariales y lo que ha sido hasta ahora la experiencia de las Redes de Innovación Productiva. Los resultados de esta investigación permiten concluir que las Redes de Innovación Productiva constituyen redes empresariales -conglomerados- cuyo objetivo es aprovechar las fortalezas de cada miembro de la red para el beneficio colectivo; más allá de la producción de bienes y servicios. Sin embargo, la experiencia singular que representa este tipo de organización, cuyo objetivo trasciende el aspecto meramente económico, hace que presenten diferencias importantes con las tipologías usuales de redes empresariales, sin que por ello pierdan su condición de tal.

    The present theoretical revision has the intention to make a comparative analysis between the enterprise networks and the Venezuelan Networks of Productive Innovation. For it aspects are examined that characterize the enterprise networks and what it has been until now the experience of the Networks of Productive Innovation. The results of this investigation allow to conclude that the Networks of Productive Innovation constitute enterprise networks - conglomerated whose objective is to take advantage of the strengths each member of the network for the collective benefit; beyond the production of goods and services. Nevertheless, the singular experience that represents east type of organization, whose objective extends the economic aspect merely, causes that they present/display important differences with the usual typology of enterprise networks, without for that reason they lose his condition of so.
