    El artículo describe el trabajo llevado a cabo por el Laboratorio Central de Medicina Legal al final del siglo XIX y principios del XX con el estudio de artefactos explosivos de este periodo. El atentado contra la comitiva real del 31 de mayo de 1906 en la calle Mayor de Madrid y las consiguientes diligencias judiciales, la autopsia del cadáver del autor del atentado y el resto de investigaciones constituyen un importante documento médico-legal.

    The article describes the work carried out by the Legal Medicine Central Laboratory at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th, dealing with the study of explosive devices of the time. The events which occurred May 31, 1906 in Mayor Street in Madrid are then meticulously described, which were a consequence to the assault on the Royal procession. Judicial acts, the diligence of the autopsy and the medical expertise investigations are all discussed in detail, to complete a document of great medical-legal historical importance.
