La criminalización de la industria del sexo, una apuesta políticamente correcta

    La criminalización de la industria del sexo es una estrategia política que cumple una importante doble función. Por una parte, el Estado y las Administraciones públicas amplían el ámbito de intervención y control sobre los ciudadanos, dirigiendo conductas y conduciendo sexualidades. Por otra, sirve de sucedáneo de una peligrosa y más directa criminalización del fenómeno migratorio, lo que encontraría serias resistencias por parte de algunos sectores sociales, por lo que funciona como estrategia y contribuye de igual forma a poner freno ante la llegada "masiva" de inmigrantes. En este contexto de nuestra posmodernidad, la victimización de las trabajadoras sexuales, lejos de redimirlas, beneficia fundamentalmente a una industria del rescate cada vez más boyante.

    ABSTRACT Criminalization of sex industry is a political strategy which plays an important dual role. On the one hand, the State and public authorities extend the scope of intervention and control over citizens, thus directing behaviour and sexuality. On the other hand, it serves as a surrogate for a more direct and dangerous criminalization of migration, which would face serious resistance from some sectors of society, and therefore it works as a strategy and contributes equally to halt the "massive" arrival of immigrants. In this context of our post-modernism, victimization of sex workers, far from redeeming them, mainly benefits an increasingly buoyant rescue industry.
