Resumen de Sociedad de Educadores en Ciencias de la Salud en Villa Clara: orígenes, logros y perspectivas

La Sociedad Cubana de Educadores en Ciencias de la Salud se creó en el año 1993 a fin de contribuir al desarrollo integral del claustro de profesores de las ciencias médicas. Su primer capítulo provincial se constituyó en Villa Clara, en 1995. El trabajo tiene la finalidad de caracterizar la labor desplegada por esta agrupación científica desde sus orígenes hasta la actualidad. Se efectuó un proceso indagatorio donde se emplearon métodos teóricos y empíricos y se utilizó la triangulación metodológica para el procesamiento de la información obtenida. Sus resultados se organizan según sus periodos de mandatos (1995�2005) y (2005-2011). Este capítulo ha desplegado una labor estable desde su creación y ha jugado un rol fundamental en el desarrollo científico pedagógico de su claustro, entre sus elementos distintivos se encuentra la instauración de un sistema de reconocimiento a los educadores y la edición de la revista EDUMECENTRO.

The Cuban Society of Educators in Health Sciences was created in 1993 with the aim to contribute to the development of the medical sciences teaching staff. Its first chapter was created in Villa Clara in 1995. The objective of this work is to characterize the activity this scientific group has done since it appeared up to now. A researching process was carried out where empirical and theoretical methods were used, and the information gathered was contrasted (Te results were organized according to the twoperiods of the society (1995�2005) & (2005-2011). This chapter has developed a stable work since its very beginnings and it has played an outstanding role in the pedagogical and scientific development of the teaching staff, among its distinctive features it can be mentioned, the instauration of an acknowledgment system and the issue of the �EDUMECENTRO� Journal.
