El mito fundacional de la ciudad: una visión desde la Geometría Sagrada

    La actividad del diseño implica la significación de todo objeto creado o espacio delimitado por el hombre; por lo tanto, el diseño es siempre una actividad cultural. Pero también implica formas de organización y composición en dichos objetos y espacios que son parte fundamental en la vida cotidiana de los individuos y de las sociedades; el diseño es por lo tanto, un proceso de creación humana.

    La palabra poiesis se refiere a este proceso de creación del hombre, pero también la podemos retomar como forma de organización o composición de todo aquello que se considera parte de la cultura. De este término surge la raíz de la palabra moderna poesía, la cual puede entenderse como "la organización correcta y medida del lenguaje".

    En estas formas de creación y de organización de la cultura, y de entre las cuales se destaca la actividad del diseño, se manifiesta la necesidad del hombre de asignar significados a todo aquello que es producto de su pensamiento simbólico, siendo la dimensión simbólica, la que según Ernst Cassirer (2009) marca la diferencia entre la naturaleza del ser humano con respecto a la de los demás seres vivos; es un animal simbólico porque construye un mundo que lo separa de su condición natural. El lenguaje constituye la primera forma de organización ante dicha construcción. Señala Marta Zátonyi:

    Cuando se genera algo que hasta entonces no había existido porque no había sido nombrado, surge la poesía. Surge el mito. Este mito es lo creativo, lo revolucionario y se llama "mitopoiesis". Explica lo inexplicable, nombra lo innombrable. Incorpora en el mundo del saber un nuevo elemento y con ello genera la crisis de la estructura. (2002: 163) Mitopoiesis implica creación y organización a partir de un razonamiento simbólico. La función del símbolo es la de integrar la imaginación y la razón en el proceso creativo y por lo tanto constituye el principio de articulación entre la sabiduría y el conocimiento del hombre en la generación de la cultura. Por este motivo se considera al mito como una forma de conocimiento que permite redescubrir a la razón y a la imaginación como los principales ejes en el proceso de significación en el diseño, así como la interpretación de los patrones universales y de la naturaleza, que han sido representados a partir de la geometría sagrada en la organización simbólica del territorio.

    The activity of the design implies the significance of any created object or space delimited by the man; therefore, the design is always a cultural activity. But also it involves forms of organization and composition in the above mentioned objects and spaces that are a fundamental part in the daily life of the individuals and societies; the design is therefore, a process of human creation.

    The word poiesis refers to this process of human creation, but also we can understand it as a form of organization or composition of all that is considered to be a part of the culture. From this term arises the root of the modern word poetry, which can be understood as "the correct and measured organization of the language".

    In these forms of creation and organization of the culture, from where the activity of the design is outlined, emerges the human need to assign meanings to all that that is product of his symbolic thought, being the symbolic dimension, which, according to Ernst Cassirer (2009) marks the difference between the nature of the human being from other alive beings; he is a symbolic animal because he constructs a world that separates him from his natural condition. The language constitutes the first form of organization from the above mentioned construction. Marta Zátonyi indicates:

    When there is generated something that till then had not existed because it had not been named, the poetry arises. The myth arises. This myth is the creative thing, the revolutionary thing and it calls "mitopoiesis". It explains the inexplicable thing, names the unmentionable thing. It incorporates in the world of to know a new element and with it it generates the crisis of the structure. (2002: 163) Mitopoiesis implies creation and organization from a symbolic reasoning. The function of the symbol consists in integrating the imagination and the reason in the creative process and therefore it constitutes the union between wisdom and the knowledge of man in the generation of the culture. For this motive the myth is considered as a form of knowledge that allows rediscovering the reason and the imagination as the principal axes in the process of significance in the design, and also the interpretation of the universal and nature patterns, which have been represented from de Sacred Geometry in the symbolic organization of the territory.
