  • When Congress is in need of information, it has several methods it can use, but the most visible, and most dramatic, is the congressional investigation.

    From the Teapot Dome scandal to the McCarthy investigations of the 1950s, right up to Watergate and Iran-Contra, the congressional investigation holds the public�s attention. Mr. Mantel provides a selected, annotated bibliography on the topic of congressional investigations. He also includes a short history of these types of investigations and a discussion of the major issues raised by these investigations.
