  • The Annual Report of the Court of Justice of the European Union for 2011 tells an interesting tale. The activity of the Court in 2011 reveals an increase of new cases by 9 per cent over the previous year, reaching a total of 688. This is consistent with previous years as, with the exception of 2009, there has been a steady increase of new cases going back to at least 2006.
