Resumen de El mito de la biografía, o sobre la imposibilidad de toda teología política

El artículo parte analizando una carta que Sigmund Freud escribe a Arnold Zweig, en la cual afirma que toda biografía es una forma de mentira e hipocresía. En su intento por reconstruir la historia de la investigación erudita y filológica sobre el género biográfico, el autor del presente texto muestra que la filología siempre ha descuidado una fuente fundamental para conocer la historia de la biografía: los evangelios. Después de brindar pruebas retóricas, filológicas, históricas y teológicas de la necesidad de esta opción retórica de la teología cristiana, el autor considera el problema de que en los cimientos de la civilización occidental no se encuentra un poema mitológico sobre las gestas de los dioses ni una obra épica ni códigos propiamente jurídicos, sino cuatro breves escritos biográficos. Al final, muestra cuáles son las consecuencias destructivas de este hecho para toda forma de teología política

The text moves from the analysis of a letter of Sigmund Freud to Arnold Zweig. In this letter, Freud says that every biography is a form of lie and hypocrisy. In order to reconstruct the history of the erudite and philological investigation about the biographical genre, the author shows that philology did neglect a fundamental source for the history of biography: the gospels. After having collected rhetorical, philological, historical and theological proofs of the necessity of this rhetorical option of Christian Theology, the author discusses the problem of the consequences of the fact that at the very origin of Western Civilization there is not a mythological poem nor an epic work, nor a juridical code, but four short biographical writings. The conclusion discusses the destructive consequences of this fact on the idea of political theology.
