La escritura del �yo� ensayístico ha logrado una notable autonomía y no teme manifestarse como poseedor de un saber fundado en su actitud indagativa y exploratoria que, a su vez, se sustenta en el rendimiento estético de su gratuidad escritural en un gesto que pone en permanente entredicho sus múltiples referentes. A esa actitud indagativa es a la que queremos hacer referencia viéndola desde el prisma deboriano de �deriva�: un viaje exploratorio que devela la articulación de las discursividades hegemónicas que se hallan en el sustrato mismo de la �ciudad letrada�, propiciando un correlato alternativo fundado en la distancia que posibilita la autorreflexión que le es característica.

The essayist�s �I� writing has reached a remarkable degree of autonomy, and it is no longer shy of conveying a sense of knowledgeability that arises form an inquisitive and exploratory attitude which is in turn based upon the aesthetic yield of its gratuity, in a gesture that casts permanent doubt on its multifold points of reference. We address this inquisitive attitude through the lens of Deborian �drifting�: an exploratory journey that reveals the articulation of the hegemonic discourses to be found within the very substrate of the �learned city�, fostering an alternative correlate based upon the distance that enables its characteristic self-reflection.
