    Durante el año 2008 la Asamblea de Estudiantes de Filosofía de la Universidad ARCIS invitó a sus docentes a debatir sobre la pregunta: ¿qué significa hacer filosofía? El texto siguiente intenta abordar esta pregunta en el contexto chileno y tomando como referencia a la filosofía política. Para ello se detiene en el debate sobre el lugar de la filosofía en el campo de la política pensada agonística y/o antagonísticamente. Luego de ello se centra en mostrar por qué la ciencia política dominante en Chile no es útil para pensar un escenario de conflicto. Por último, ingresa en el análisis de ella como táctica al servicio de uno de los bandos en conflicto, con sus implicancias éticas, sociales, vitales, escriturales y materiales.

    In 2008, the Union of Students of Philosophy at ARCIS University invited the faculty members to debate the question, what does doing philosophy mean? The following text is aimed at dealing with this question in the Chilean context and against the background of political philosophy. To this end, it dwells on the place of philosophy in the sphere of politics, both in its agonistic and antagonistic senses. It then focuses on showing why the dominant current of Chilean political science is ill-adapted to analyse a conflict scenario.

    Finally, it analyses phiosophy as a political tactic at the service of one of the opposing factions, with its concomitant ethical, social, vital, literary and material implications.
