    Este artículo intenta ubicar el nacimiento de la sociedad civil global y la identifica como actor del sistema internacional. Luego, mediante una serie de actuaciones en escenarios internacionales, muestra cómo ha planteado exitosas alternativas de solución a problemáticas que le son propias.

    Así mismo, revela algunas de las estrategias que la sociedad civil global ha desarrollado para influir en la toma de decisiones, y la manera como ha interactuado con los otros actores del sistema. Finalmente, señala algunas actuaciones locales que han requerido redes globales, y muestra cómo este tejido convierte a la sociedad civil global en un agente decisorio de política internacional.

    The purpose of this article is to find out about the origin of the global civil society which is considered an actor within the international system and to show, through a myriad of international situations, how global civil society offers several successful solutions to these problems. This article also talks about some of the strategies that the global civil society has developed to re-affirm the global dominion to make decisions as well as their method of interaction with others within the system.

    Finally, this article highlights some of the local actions that have required the assistance of global networks and show how these networks have made the global civil society an agent that decides on international political matters.
