Percepción del Patrimonio Histórico Industrial: Análisis descriptivo a través de una muestra de estudiantes universitarios españoles

    El Patrimonio Histórico Industrial ha sido uno de los componentes que menos interés ha mostrado a los investigadores, desde un contenido artístico. El estudio que aquí presentamos ha tenido como objetivo la percepción del Patrimonio Histórico Industrial por parte de una muestra de estudiantes universitarios sobre su lugar de residencia. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 539 estudiantes y estuvieron representadas siete universidades españolas. Los resultados mostraron la escasa información que los estudiantes tienen sobre el concepto de Patrimonio Histórico Industrial así como una enorme dificultad por identificar ejemplos de dicho Patrimonio en su zona de residencia. La formación y desarrollo de actividades relativas al Patrimonio Histórico Industrial mejoraría el entendimiento de esos lugares, su historia, y de cara a un futuro facilitaría el desarrollo de actividades histórico-turísticas que complementaria la ausencia de información sobre los recursos histórico-industriales de un lugar determinado.

    The Historical Industrial Heritage is taking an outstanding recognition as a discipline of study and research from a Historical and Artistic perspective. The main aim of this analysis is the perception of the Historical Industrial Heritage by university students on their places of residence. The sample is composed by 539 students and seven Spanish universities are represented. In spite of the increasing interest from different areas for this type of heritage, the results showed the limited information which students have on the concept of Historical Industrial Heritage as well as the difficulty to know the mentioned examples in their surroundings. The development of activities relative to the Historical Industrial Heritage would improve the understanding of these places and its history. Also, it would facilitate the increasing of Historical and Tourist activities as tool of information about the Historical and industrial resources of a certain place.
