  Water is an element of nature which sustains life and has many meanings, and for this reason can lead us to reflect on its material and imaginary aspects. It holds fascination to us, and can seduce with its meanings and beauty, charming our imagination. Especially for a poet, water feeds the body, soul and imagination, producing imaginaries of nature. Thus, we invite you to enter in this text to reflect first on the image and imaginary of water... the water of rivers... and the rivers...

  and then on the images of the Contas river, over which we reflect through the waters of its channel and margins, beginning with the imaginary over its old and current name, going through several images to reach its destiny... the sea of the Atlantic Ocean.

  A água é um elemento da natureza que sustenta a vida e tem muitos significados, por isso pode nos fazer refletir sobre seus aspectos materiais e imaginários. Ela exerce um fascínio em nós, a quem pode seduzir com seus significados e sua beleza, encantando nosso imaginário. Especialmente para um poeta, a água alimenta o corpo, a alma e o seu imaginário, produzindo imagens da natureza. Assim, convidamos-lhe a entrar neste texto para refletir, primeiro sobre a imagem e o imaginário da água... da água de rios... e de rios... e, depois, sobre imagens do rio das Contas, do qual fizemos uma reflexão através das águas de seu leito e das suas margens, iniciando com o imaginário da sua nomenclatura antiga e atual, passando por suas diversas imagens até chegar ao seu destino... o mar do Oceano Atlântico.
