Valley the penalty to expend time and resources planning the next years, if small variations in the current conditions can cause great variations in the foreseen results, as placed for the Theory of the Chaos? Or then, to formulate the future can be an useless exercise a time that the trend of the world is if to become each more complex time, such as says the Theory of the Complexity? In the present article, these questions raised for the theories of the Chaos and the Complexity are argued, in terms of application of the strategical planning.

Em um mundo repleto de incertezas, que se revelam, ora pela interdependência e conexões de fatos, ora pela evolução da complexidade e padrões irregulares, quão válida para a organização é a prática do planejamento estratégico? Vale a pena despender tempo e recursos planejando os próximos anos, se pequenas variações nas condições atuais podem ocasionar grandes variações nos resultados previstos, como colocado pela Teoria do Caos? Ou então, formular o futuro pode ser um exercício em vão, uma vez que a tendência do mundo é se tornar cada vez mais complexo, tal como diz a Teoria da Complexidade? No presente artigo, são discutidas estas questões levantadas pelas teorias do Caos e da Complexidade, em termos de aplicação do planejamento estratégico.
