    O presente trabalho teve como objetivo fazer uma breve apresentação de A hora da estrela (1977) de Clarice Lispector. Para tanto, serão evidenciados os procedimentos irônicos e metalinguísticos adotados pela autora e que permitem classificar a obra como moderna. Por se tratar de uma narrativa especular, questões acerca da miseem- abyme também farão parte de nosso estudo.

    The aim of this paper is to do a brief presentation of the narrator of A hora da estrela (1977) � (The Time of the Star) � written by Clarice Lispector. However, the ironic and metalinguistic procedures used by the writer will be showed and they allow us to classify her work as modern. For being a speculate narrative, the questions about �mise-en-abyme� will also take part in our study.
