  • Resumen
    • We analyze the recession periods for 1 0 hydrologic years, in Monachil (Diéchar station) and Dilar (electric power station) rivers; they are located on the western part of Sierra Nevada. The area studied is mainly composed by metamorphic metapelitics rocks of the Nevado-Filabride Complex (Betic domain). The depletion coefficients for the Monachil river varied between 4,5x10 3 y 3,7x1 O'2, with a medium value of 1,5x102 días ', for the Dilar river the coefficient are included between 5,2x103 y 2,0x10 2, having a medium value of 1,2x1 O'2 days'1. A strong correlation between the day at the onset of depletion (generally during July) and annual precipitation has not been detected. The presence in the are a of springs related with very different hydraulic conductivity materials is probably one of the causes of the high variability of the results. Another reason is the strong influence of the snow and snowmelt processes on some important springs in the upper part of the valleys
