    This study aims to analyze the relationship between work organization and the process of illness / absence from work. For this purpose we used semi-structure and a qualitative approach to understand the centrality of work, the relationship between subjective experience of the situation and material removal and ways of coping in relation to that situation. The interview was administered to five workers who were in a situation of absence from work due to illness. The Analysis of Nucleus Sense (ANS) was done through the collected data and it concluded that the experience of being away from work is marked by intense suffering. The suffering due to the situation mentioned above established a relationship with the illness and its correlation with the work organization, with the absence of the work and the experience of powerlessness and futility, faced with financial instability and the relationship with the INSS, placed as difficult and dehumanizing.

    O presente estudo objetiva analisar a relação entre a organização do trabalho e o processo de adoecimento/afastamento do trabalho. Para tanto utilizou-se entrevista semi-estrutura e abordagem qualitativa para compreender a centralidade do trabalho, a relação da vivência subjetiva e material da situação de afastamento e as formas de enfrentamento em relação a tal situação. A entrevista foi aplicada em cinco trabalhadores que se encontravam em situação de afastamento do trabalho por motivo de adoecimento. Com os dados coletados foi feita a Análise de Núcleo de Sentido (ANS) e avaliado que a vivência de afastamento do trabalho é marcada por intenso sofrimento. O sofrimento decorrente da situação antes mencionada teve relação estabelecida com o adoecimento e sua correlação com a organização do trabalho, com o afastamento do trabalho e a vivência de impotência e inutilidade, com a desestabilização financeira enfrentada e com a relação com o INSS, colocada como difícil e desumanizante.
