    Del Cantón cartagenero surgen, inmediatamente, varias «Memorias», escritos autobiográficos que conforman «otra historia». Los autores-parte y arte del proceso-se miran a sí mismo, y miran a los otros, y opinan. De ahí, el valor tanto para la Teoría Literaria como para la Historiografía. Tales escritos se convierten en una revelación y en una velación, a la vez. Importa más lo focal que el dato escueto. Al lector se le exige, pues, circunspección.
