Resumen En ocasiones los cuidados enfermeros los proporcionamos en los lugares más impersonales.
Este artículo narra la experiencia de un enfermero, al comunicar una mala noticia a la familia de Andrés, que nada más llegar al servicio de urgencias, ya sentían el descubrimiento de una enfermedad con un desenlace fatal.
El enfermero es capaz de superar las barreras arquitectónicas convirtiéndolas en espacios de intimidad, creando una calidez en el entorno, que hace que la familia agradezca y permita aflorar los sentimientos más profundos y compartirlos con los profesionales enfermeros.
Por tanto transmitiendo, al enfermero, la esencia de nuestro quehacer profesional, el cuidado holístico aderezado con tintes humanísticos.

Abstract (The warmth of bad news) Sometimes nursing cares are provided in the most impersonal places.
This article narrates the experience of a nurse, on having communicated a bad new to the family of Andres, which while they were coming to the service of urgencies, already feel the discovery of a disease of fatal conclusion.
The nurse is able to overcome architectural barriers and to turn them into spaces of intimacy, creating warmth in the environment that makes the family grateful and allows them to show their deeps feelings and to share them with the professional nurses.
Therefore transmitting to the nurse the essence of our professional occupation, the holistic care with a humanistic character.
